Teen aims to raise big cash

For the second year in a row, Palmetto Senior High School student, Jordan Rosen, organized a basketball tournament to raise funds for the Transplant Foundation.

Last year, Jordan Rosen hosted a basketball tournament at his Pinecrest home to raise money and awareness for organ donations and transplant research. This year, the 16-year-old sophomore from Palmetto Senior did it again.

He organized the Second Annual Miracle Game 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament and Raffle at Suniland Park on April 13.

The cause is near and dear to the hearts of the Rosen family. Jordan’s grandfather, Irving Zambrofsky, 82, suffered from hypertension, which caused his kidneys to fail. He underwent dialysis treatment for three years before he finally received a kidney transplant in October 2001.The family has been involved in charity work and fundraisers ever since.

Jordan’s effort to continuously raise money through the Basketball Tournament for the Transplant Foundation has become a great success.
